What Do You Receive as a Patreon Member?

If you’ve ever thought about becoming a Patreon member but weren’t quite sure what you would receive, you’re certainly not alone. One of the questions I’m asked most often is, “What do I actually receive when I join?”

The truth is, whether you’re looking to refine your skills or start as a complete beginner, my Patreon channel aims to provide the techniques, confidence and inspiration to keep creating botanical art, whether you’re a watercolour lover, coloured pencil addict or both!

Let’s uncover what could be waiting for you as a member.

A Growing Library of Botanical Art Tutorials

When you become a member, you receive access to my entire content library, not just the projects we are working on currently. After signing up, you’ll instantly unlock over 130 complete tutorials, taught across more than 300 individual lessons. That’s hours of real-time, gentle guidance.

This means you can choose whichever botanical subject inspires you most and learn entirely at your own pace.

From beautiful blooms to colourful berries, mushrooms, vegetables and more, there is something to suit every artist once you step inside.

Gentle Guidance, Step-by-Step Teaching

Each series of tutorials is broken down into manageable stages so that you can learn alongside me at your own pace. I do not speed the video along or leave any part of the process uncovered.

I explain each step, technique and colour choice I use to bring botanicals to life on paper with realism and accuracy.

You will find a tutorial to suit your skill level, interests and medium.

Reference Photos and Line Drawings

Most of the botanical subjects we explore on Patreon are home-grown in my own garden and are photographed with a high-quality camera. I take pride in owning the rights to my own images.

Each tutorial has a printable line drawing for you to trace onto paper, saving you the worry of getting the outline perfect. Just to make life that little bit easier.

Complete Materials Lists

At the beginning of an art journey, it can be quite overwhelming to choose the right pencils, brushes and paper. There are so many options on the market, and each artist naturally has their own preferences.

For this reason, every single tutorial on my channel has a matching materials list, including every pencil, paint and tool I use for artistic success.

As of July 2026, each list also has colour swatches so that you can easily see which colours will be used.

This is one way I make it easier for you to follow along at home and encourage you to adapt your own materials to my lists.

Botanical Fact Files

A new feature on my channel over the past twelve months are my exclusive botanical fact files.

In botanical art, it’s crucial to understand your subject as well as you can paint it. Small details and individual characteristics all contribute to illustrating a realistic plant.

Open the botanical fact files and discover the habitat, origins and special information about each subject we work with.

A Visual Tutorial Index

You might be wondering how so much content can stay well organised. This is why I have introduced a new tutorial index, exclusively for my members to use.

You can browse every single tutorial, which is easily organised into sections. So, if you feel like studying a flower or foliage, you can easily explore every lesson available.

What’s even more helpful is that you can click into each video straight from the index!

Learning at Your Own Pace

One of the most enjoyable aspects of my Patreon community is just how relaxed and self-guided the learning process can be.

There are no deadlines or schedules to think about. All you have to do is log in and choose whatever you feel like painting or drawing.

Some members are active every single day, yet others just drop in when they feel like it. Honestly, I love the flexibility of this.

A Home Within a Creative Community

Overall, Patreon is a home for those who value a creative community. Whether you prefer to work quietly or share your work with others, just know that there will always be a kind word of encouragement or support waiting.

You can engage with other members through the community chat feature or join our Facebook group to connect further.

It can be really fun to learn alongside others, share progress and watch each other develop artistically.

Is Becoming a Member Right for You?

If you enjoy botanical art and would like structured, step-by-step tuition with a growing library of projects, Patreon offers an affordable way to continue developing your skills throughout the year.

Whether you complete one tutorial each month or immerse yourself in the entire library, there’s always something new to discover.

I hope to welcome you into our creative community soon.
